When Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' music video was been released he wanted it to be different from his other videos. That's why he "learnt how to dance..."
For this clip, the 'Sing' hitmaker didn't bring his guitar. He surprised all his Sheerios by partnering up with 'So You Think You Can Dance' contestant Brittany Cherry for the sweet video.
He makes the dancer fall in love (and all the Sheerios out there) with him as he dances with her in what looks like a ballroom. The sensually romantic dance was choreographed by Emmy-nominated STYCD choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo, or Nappytabs.
'Thinking Out Loud,' is one of the album's most popular songs and Ed Sheeran himself, admits that it's his favorite track in 'X.'
"'Thinking Out Loud' is one of my favorite tracks on the album, if not my favorite," he revealed in the press release for the video. "It's a great one to perform live and means a lot to me. I wanted the video to be a little different, so I opted for ballroom dancing."
Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' music video came out with a lot of effort for the singer. The British star, who normally opts for a low profile for music videos, had a gruelling training just to be able to perform in the video.
"I had lessons for 5 hours a day when I was on my US tour last month," he shared.
It looks like the preparation was a success with several of his fans complementing him on Twitter and other social media sites.
One Twitter user gushed, "Just watched @edsheeran new video for 'thinking out loud',next year defo on for strictly come dancing! Love your lyrical moves!! #awesome."
"All I can think about today is 'why am I in class today and not ballroom dancing with @edsheeran?' #ishouldbedancing," another Sheerio posted
One fan was too amazed at the spectacle to say anything else other than, "Thinking Out Loud's MV is perfection."
In fact, the music video received so much love that the 23-year-old musician will be giving fans a little treat to thank them. Fans will see more of his charms next week.
According to the 'A-Team' singer, the 'Thinking Out Loud' video "has been my biggest video launch to date, so chuffed with the reaction. [Behind] the scenes video coming Monday."
