Being Daniel Radcliffe's girlfriend certainly has its perks.
The 'Horns' star may be jet setting around the world for movie shoots and premieres but he still makes sure to be there for Erin Darke when she needs him.
According to an interview with Marie Claire, the 'Harry Potter' alum likes to do romantic gestures for his lady love just like his counterpart in his recent romantic comedy movie.
"I think this is the part where I play someone most like myself," he told The Daily Mail in a past interview about his role as Wallace. "I'm definitely the geeky guy who wants to be in a relationship. And it was a big thing for me to do a modern-day romance."
In 'What If,' medical school dropout Wallace, flies to Ireland from Canada to profess his love for Chantry (Zoe Kazan) despite her already being in committed relationship. What he doesn't know however, is that Chantry had already flown back home the same day he did. In the end, he failed to surprise her and even boggled up his confession.
Just like Wallace, Radcliffe also attempted a romantic surprise for his real life girlfriend but it didn't go quite as planned.
"I was going to fly to New York to surprise her once, but then I kind of ruined my own surprise the night before because I was on the phone to her and she'd had a terrible day and was in a bad mood and I wanted to make it all go away," the 25-year-old actor shared.
He had been so excited for the surprise but knowing she had been having such a hard time, he just wanted to make her feel better.
"I just went, 'Guess what? I'm going to be there tomorrow, we're going to see each other,'" he added. His 'Kill Your Darlings' co-star would have been so happy.
Meanwhile, he has called Erin Darke his best friend in past interviews and believes couples should be lovers and best friends at the same time.
"I'm going out with my best friend at the moment," the British actor previously said in a People Magazine interview. "And that's, I think, the way it should be."
