Third instalment of "Sherlock Holmes" full movie is happening, and it was confirmed none other than Robert Downey Jr.
In a report by E! News, Downey confirmed that "Sherlock Holmes 3" is a work in progress.
"Yes, we have a Sherlock 3 in development. We want it to be the best of the series, so that's a pretty tall order. Also, Perry Mason is a property I'm looking forward to developing further, going back to the 1931 book series...similarly to what we did with the first 2 Sherlocks, mining the original material for things that are 'new'," he said.
Last year, Jude Law revealed that there will be a third instalment of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" full movie.
He told Digital Spy that they "had a meeting earlier this year, the three of us, and I think it's being written now. Warner Bros. have still got to agree to pay for it...I think they want to!"
As for other movies of Downey, it seems the "Avenger" actor is playing coy about "Iron Man 4", which he is expected to reprise his role.
It was reported that Downey confirmed another instalment of "Iron Man" is in the works. He said: "I know there are going to be a bunch more Marvel movies, and they have big ideas of how to do it best and [they're] in the middle of negotiation, blah blah blah..."
But in an interview with David Letterman at "The Late Show" on Tuesday, the Sherlock Holmes 4 movie actor seems to have a slightly change of tone.
"There [are] no plans for an Iron Man 4," he claimed.
When asked why not, Downey responded: "That's a valid question. Like it hasn't made enough money? Yeah, I guess they have too much money or something. There is no script for Iron Man 4. They do have a plan and I think they're going to announce it [soon]."
When Lettermen pressed him one more time, Downey said, "Just between us, no," he told the late-night host. "But, I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen."
If "Iron Man 4" will not push through, we still have "Sherlock Holmes 3" movie to watch for.
