After threatening to release a sex tape, Iggy Azalea's ex-boyfriend Hefe Wine now reportedly files for divorce from the "Fancy" rapper.
According to a report from TMZ, Iggy Azalea's ex-boyfriend has filed for divorce in Texas. Wine claims they were together for 5 years under common-law marriage.
A law in Texas states that a couple who live together for any length of time and wishes to be regarded as husband and wife were considered married.
Wine, whose real name is Maurice Williams, says he and Azalea, whose real name is Amethyst Kelly, "agreed to be married to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September 2008."
Azalea has taken to Twitter to deny her ex's claim, saying: "I think we already all know, but just to clarify. I'm NOT married. Feel free to check the PUBLIC marriage records."
She then posted another tweet about the issues she has been getting involved with, saying: "Gotta laugh tho, now do you see the kinda craziness I deal with?! #ThisLifeWeLive."
While Azalea had answered the issue herself, a report from Mirror stated a source close to the rapper shared that the rapper was dismayed about the allegation and that the issue was made up because of money. "It's disappointing that this thief, felon and fugitive is continuing to use the media to attack Iggy as part of his desperate and despicable attempt to keep himself in the press." the source allegedly told the publication.
The source added, "Iggy's federal court complaint froze Mr. Williams' ability to trade on her fame by profitin from music he stole from her, so he has restored to elevating his predatory relationship with a 17 year old girl into a sham 'marriage' claim unsupported by any certificate or evidence."
Iggy Azalea's ex-boyfriend was previously sued by the rapper for allegedly getting files from her personal computer in 2009, which included unreleased songs. Wine also claimed that he had a document signed by the rapper giving him rights to the rapper's songs. Azalea has denied this claim and sued Wine for forgery as well.
