Serena; Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's film finally announced to be released in the beginning of 2015, but still there are confusions over the distribution. According to reports, the distribution company, Magnolia Pictures stated that they are not planning to distribute the movie in the US on Oscar season.
Director Susanne Bier; an Oscar winner, failed to impress the company. Her movie Serena was rejected by distributors as of three reasons, "Three different cuts of the Depression-era drama, at three different private screenings, but from the sound of it, none of these versions managed to impress", Yahoo reports.
Serena is an American-French drama film based upon the 'Serena" by American author Ron Rash. Starring Jennifer Lawrence as Serena Pemberton and Bradley Cooper as George Pemberton.
The film deals with the depression period in1930 in the U.S., it also shows the life of George Pemberton and beautiful wife Serena. After staying for three months in his father's estate in Boston, Pemberton finally returns to Western North Carolina. He reached at the town of Waynesville. Along with Pemberton is his co- traveler Serena, she has been with him from North Carolina, he found her from there and engaged with her. Pemberton introduced his wife to his partners, who also liked the appearance, personality and dress code of Serena. When she met them she greets them with a shake hand, which they are impressed too. Thus Serena starts to live at the lumber camp. The movie shares the wonderful experience and the difficulties they are facing from the surroundings of the camp.
The film Serena is due to premiere at BFI London Film Festival on October 13, 2014 and due to be released in France on November 12, 2014. While Magnolia Pictures will distribute the film in the United States on February 26, 2015.
