Xiaomi Smartphone Mi3 Sold Millions In China, Hong Kong, Taiwan And Singapore: Review And Specs

| By

Chinese Giant Electronics Company Xiaomi's smartphone Mi3 has been mostly getting good reviews so far, since its debut in 2013. It has already sold millions of its units in China, Hongkong, Taiwan and Singapore, and now has a growing market in India. The actual figure does not yet include the units sold in Europe, since it is retailed through the grey market. It is one of the company's best-selling products to date, having excellent features and delivering great performance, considering its mid-range price.

Below is Mi3's feature list:

> 5" IPS 1080p capacitive touchscreen with 441pi pixel density; Corning Gorilla Glass 3

> Android 4.4.2 KitKat with MIUI v.5

> 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU; 2GB of RAM; Adreno 330 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset

> 13MP camera with dual-LED flash, 1080p video capture

> 2MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor; wide-angle f/2.0 lens; HDR; 1080p video recording

> 16/64 GB of built-in memory

> Active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone

> 3,050mAh battery

However, it also has its disadvantages that have some shoppers thinking twice of buying it. For one, it has no LTE (know update XIaomi phones LTE here). Nowadays, that feature is needed for a faster, more efficient connection to the internet. It also has no 4K video recording, non-user-replaceable battery,no wired TV-out connectivity option and no microSD card slot, which means that should you need more storage space, it will cost you additional $50 to be able to get their 64GB version.

Overall, reviews said the Mi3 smartphone gives its counterparts a run for their money. It has chic and excellent design, a high quality display, has the latest generation chipset, a good camera, and an Android KitKat with a superior MIUI launcher. People would want to have their own Mi3 smartphone because aside from being affordable, the device manages to keep it all at high-end.
