Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' baby was born a month ago and now we finally learn what the couple chose as a name for their child.
According to a report from TMZ, they were able to obtain a copy of the birth certificate of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' baby and the name it showed was Esmeralda Amada.
While the couple has been mum about the coming of their little one and no confirmations have been made, it has been suggested that the name they chose were inspired by movie character played by Mendes.
Amada reportedly was the name of the character Mendes played in the 2007 film "We Own the Night."
The couple has been very quiet about their personal lives. Mendes has reportedly been away from the limelight since February.
In an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Mendes blatantly denied rumors pertaining to her pregnancy. "It's so ridiculous," she said. "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."
While there has been no statement from the couple about the new chapter in their lives, an insider reportedly told E! News that "they're both great, but exhausted. They know it's going to be a little while before the baby adjusts to a schedule."
A different source reportedly shared that "Eva is so happy she's a mom, their baby girl is perfect."
The source added, "She's so good with kids and has been wanting this a really long time. When she found out she was having a girl, she was freaking out. She kind of wanted a girl deep down, but of course just wants a happy and healthy baby."
Reports that the couple, who started dating in September 2011, were expecting was confirmed by Us magazine in July.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' baby was born on September 12.
