The Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer might not take place at all, sorry Red Devils fans. The Real Madrid star's agent, Jorge Mendes, has said that it will be impossible for the Portuguese superstar to move out of Santiago Bernabeau because his client is happy with his current club. This is exactly the opposite of what former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said of the 'fed up' agent a month ago.
"Cristiano holds United dear to his heart because he was there six years. But now he just thinks of the Real Madrid and he will always be there, and he is thrilled. People know that it is impossible to get Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid," Mendes said of the highly talked about Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer rumors.
"Ronaldo is the best player ever. He keeps improving and while he has affection towards Manchester United, he wants to stay at Real Madrid. He is happy there, he has a great relationship with the president, and has a long contract: he will retire at Real Madrid."
"There won't be any player as good as him for the next 500 years." His insight is likely to be pivotal, as if Ronaldo's agent doesn't believe a deal can go ahead, it's highly likely it can't. Is Mendes just trying to quash rumours? Is he trying to add more value to a deal that is already likely to cost copious amounts? Is he just being entirely honest? Perhaps a little of each."
Last month, Calderon said that Mendes, who is also acting as an agent for CR7's former teammate Angel di Maria, is already fed up of Real Madrid's decision to sell their top players.
"Two years ago it was Gonzalo Higuain sold and he didn't like that. Last year he thought it was a mistake to let Mesut Ozil leave and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria this summer," Calderon said.
Rumors of the Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer started after the two-time Ballon d'Or winner expressed that United continue to have a place in his heart and might return there one day.
"I love Manchester," Ronaldo declared openly, just as he has done on previous occasions. "Everyone knows that-I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day."
