The first episode of the highly anticipated fourth installment of the "American Horror Story" franchise has arrived and critics have been raving left and right. With the current season released under the title "AHS: Freak Show", online reports on news, spoilers, recap and reviews have been bursting out. Most especially about the newest addition to the "American Horror Story" family, John Carroll Lynch who plays the monstrous villain, Twisty the Clown.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Lynch shared his physical preparations about playing Twisty the Clown in the newly released "AHS: Freak Show". Online news, spoilers, recap and reviews reveal him expressing: "It was a combination of things. I worked with a street performer in New Orleans to learn sleight of hand and to work on balloon animals and stuff like that. And we talked about how his hands are very expressive and most clowns' hands are very expressive. You're showing people things - it's presentational."

In the same interview for the "AHS: Freak Show" news, spoilers, recap and reviews updates, Lynch shares that though Twisty personifies a bit of the slasher genre, he isn't a fan. However, takes a deeper understanding of the violence embroiled in Twisty.

He says, "Yeah, there are classic horror slasher elements of this. But they're in this graceful and saturated and rich world. And that's what makes those things earned. Great horror movies are earned. Halloween is an earned picture. Every moment of grotesque violence is earned by the suspense they're able to maintain getting there."

Creator Ryan Murphy talks to InsideTV about Twisty the Clown that Lynch is portraying in "AHS: Freak Show". News, spoilers, recap and reviews reveals, "He's wearing a mask on the lower part of his face and there comes a point in the season where takes the mask off and when you see what's under the mask you will faint in terror."
