Fans and speculators have witnessed the disintegration of Paula Patton and Robin Thicke's relationship and the move to nullify their marriage of nine years appears to be the end.
Patton filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, according to a report from TMZ.
According to a report, the couple released a joint statement saying: "We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time." The couple, who got married in 2005, were high school sweethearts.

In a previous interview, Thicke discussed the album, saying: "My music is my therapy. When I make these songs and I listen back to them, they make me feel good about myself because at least I'm admitting my faults, I'm trying to become a better man and a better person."
He added, "This album is dedicated to her, but half of it is about my problems and me getting certain things together so I can be the kind of man that I wanted to be."
Thicke also openly dedicated his performance at this year's BET Awards to Patton and told the crowd before his his performance: "I'd like to dedicate this to my wife. I miss you and I'm sorry."
