Sly Cooper, an upcoming CG-Animated film from Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment, will 'steal' the Theaters in 2016!
Originally, Sly Cooper is a long-time running game franchise of Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, which already have 5 different releases such as Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and The Sly Collection; a reformation of the previous collections. The series was developed by Sucker Punch Productions for the first three games, and then it was passed on to Sanzaru Games while Sucker Punch continued work on the Infamous series. The series was remastered into high-definition for the PlayStation 3 on one disc by the new developer, Sanzaru Games.
The single-player game is also featured in comic books on 2004 and 2005 by GamePro Magazine and DC Comics before evolving into film; which is directed and written by Kevin Munroe.
According to Producer Brad Foxhoven, partners with David Wohl, "Sly Cooper is a kinetic and comedic heist film that tells the story of Sly Cooper, an orphaned raccoon thief, and the adventures of his childhood friends and partners in crime, Bentley Turtle and Murray Hippo. In the film, Sly learns that he comes from a long line of talented, international thieves, and is catapulted into a global adventure. Sly races to reassemble pieces of an ancient book holding the Cooper clan's family secrets before it can fall into the hands of Clockwerk - an evil metallic owl bent on ending the Cooper family line."
In addition, voices behind the famous characters also gave life and excitement to the movie; original voices Matt Olsen and Chris Murphy will be dubbing for Bentley and Murray, while Ian James Corlett replacing Kevin Miller will be voicing the main character Sly Cooper. Though voice overs for Inspector Carmelita Fox and Clockwerk were not yet announced, they will surely take part in the movie.
