An app has been created that could become a huge hit down the road. This app allows users to order coffee from their phone and then just walk into the shop, pick it up and go about their day.
Square is the company that has made the app. They've also created mobile payment technology. This app allows the time of waiting on line to be cut short. It is currently available in a few coffee shops in New York and San Francisco, according to CNN.
Blue Bottle is a shop that exists in both cities and that app can be used there.
"Just pick it up and be on your way," blog post on Square's website said.
The Square Order app uses a new "arrival prediction technology" to gauge how far a user is from their favorite coffee shop and sends a message to the baristas there when the user is getting close, according to the report. This way, the coffee will be at the right temperature when you arrive at the shop.
Besides having your coffee ready when you arrive, the app also allows user's credit cards to pay for the drink. This way, you won't have to wait in line even to pay.
