The "Hunger Games" actress Jennifer Lawrence has finally commented on her leaked photos in an interview with Sam Kasher of Vanity Fair. This is the first time the star commented on the topic since it broke out in late August (via brobile.com):
"Lawrence also addresses the legal ramifications of the hack. "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime," she tells Kashner. "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. "
In August, an anonymous hacker has posted leaked photos of actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Justice on a message board in website 4chan. The photos quickly spread to other websites such as Imgur and PerezHilton.com, which depicts the said actresses in various states of undress.
The hacker has also leaked photos of Yvonne Strahovski of TV series Chuck, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and has targeted dozens of other celebrities including Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton and Australian actress Teresa Palmer. Complete lists of the targeted actresses have also appeared online.
Perez Hilton who within minutes uploaded the photos when it came out has apologized to readers due to an online backlash when he published the alleged photos. He has since then taken down the uncensored photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Justice and replaced them with censored versions, eventually deleting them altogther.
Grande's agent has announced that the images of the 'Break Free' singer are Fake.
Mary Winsted has confirmed her leaked images via her Twitter:
"Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked," she said.
"You know what's better then leaked nudes? Earning the trust and respect of another human to the point that they share their body with you."
