Are you ready to meet the magical creatures in Warner Brothers' 'Harry Potter' spinoff 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them?'
The film company has already confirmed a trilogy adaptation for the book adaptation with 'Harry Potter' author JK Rowling writing the script.
The new film will not feature Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. Instead, it will have a new set of characters and will be set in the 1970s. However, Newt Scamander, the main protagonist and author of the Hogwarts textbook of the same name, will reportedly meet a younger Albus Dumbledore in his travels.
The first installation in the new Potter-based trilogy will be hitting cinemas on November 18, 2016 with David Yates rumored to be in talks to direct at least one of the films.
'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them,' however, won't be limited to a film release. In fact, Warner Bros. has already drawn an ambitious plan for the films.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara reportedly told Wall Street analysts, "The hope is that we're going to build a film franchise that will impact a lot of the studio's businesses."
The film studio is planning to create video games based on the spinoff. There will also be a new attraction in the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter theme park run by the Universal Parks and Resorts.
The "incredibly important" project has been planned in the hopes of drawing a big following and ultimately, getting a high demand for more sequels just like the 'Harry Potter' franchise.
Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure has already opened Diagon Alley at the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Florida. The new attraction included shops similar to the ones found in the secret London street in the magical world.
Warner Bros. also hopes to create another epic ride for 'Fantastic Beasts' just like Escape From Gringotts, which gives park-goers a chance to experience Harry, Ron and Hermione's excursion to the Goblin-run bank.
'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' would not only be another magical movie, it would also expand the Harry Potter world for fans.
What do you think of a 'Fantastic Beasts' ride at the Harry Potter park? Do you think the trilogy will live up to its hype?
