Man of Steel lead star Henry Cavill was spotted cruising around Pozzuoli, near Naples, Italy on a boat as he takes part in the film adaptation of the television series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. which takes place in the sixties as was proven by Henry's ensemble.
Cavill takes the role of a CIA agent in the upcoming film, which also has Amie Hammer and Hugh Grant as part of the casts, and is written and directed by Madonna's ex-husband, Guy Ritchie.
Meanwhile, director Richie was also seen on a boat in the area to scout for filming locations. Hammer will play KGB agent Illya Kuryakin who works hand in hand with Henry's character despite their disagreement in a bid to attack and seize an international criminal organization, while Grant will play the head of the U.N.C.L.E. ( stands for United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) Organization.
As the producers and director initially looked for casts in the movie, George Clooney has shown interest and was rumored to be in the talks for the main role, but eventually left because of a recurring back injury. After Clooney, other A-list actors such as Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale, Leonardo Di Caprio, Russel Crowe, Chris Pine, and Ryan Reynolds were considered for the film.
March 2013 when Tom Cruise was also rumored to be in the talks to take on the lead role, but eventually had to drop it off because of his pending "Mission:Impossible" movie. As a result, British actor Cavill got the role.
