"The Real Housewives of New Jersey casts Joe and Teresa Giudice believe that confusion with their legal team may have contributed to their prison sentence being longer.

During the "Watch What Happens: Live" interview on Monday, host Andy Cohen asked Teresa Giudice agreed to the plea deal, given the fact that sime analysts think she could have avoided jail time without it.

Teresa told Cohen that her lawyer did not fully explained what she was getting into.

"I thought my lawyer was going to fight for me," Teresa said to Cohen in the interview. "That's why you hire an attorney; you put it in their hands.

During the interview, Cohen stated that the judge criticized the couple for not having completed their entire court document.

Teresa said in the interview that she was "shocked" that their legal team had neglected to do this for them.

On Thursday, the reality stars were sentenced after pleading guilty in March to federal fraud charges.

Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison while her husband, Joe, received a sentence to 41 months.

The pair's sentences are staggered so that one parent will remain home to care for their four daughters.

The Giudice's said that their 13 year-old daughter, Gia, is the only one of their kin who knows the details of their parent's case.

But Joe admitted that Milania (8) had asked him after sentencing whether he had anything to tell her.

Teresa said she is not scared about staying in prison but is feeling "numb" and is worried about being away from her children.

"I just want to be with my daughters," she said, adding that she hopes Joe will bring the girls to visit her at least once a week.

The couple has each been ordered to pay $414,000 in restitution.
