New Line Cinema has scheduled production for comedy movie "Vacation."
The "Vacation" remake is set to be released on 2015.
Marvel's "Thor" and "Averngers" star Chris Hemsworth will lead the new comedy movie alongside "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's" Charlie Day, "The Hangover's" Ed Helms, and "The Other Woman's" Leslie Mann.
The studio has set October 9, 2015 as the release date for the reboot of the classic comedy series National Lampoon's "Vacation."
The new film will be a sequel to the 1980s film, which was written by John Hughes and was directed by Harold Ramis.
The story will pick up with Rusty Griswold, a kid, which was played by Anthony Michael Hall in the original, as a father taking his own family on a comically hellish vacation.
"Vacation" will be the directional debut of "Horrible Bosses 2" co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein who also wrote the script.
The shooting for the movie already began last month in Atlanta.
Ed Helms is set to play Rusty Griswold alongside Christina Applegate playing Rusty's wife.
Leslie Mann will play Rusty's sister, Audrey Griswold who was played by Dana Barron in te original film.
"Thor's" Chris Hemsworth will appear as Stone Crandall, an up-and-coming anchorman and Audrey's wife.
Charlie Day is reported to have a cameo as a river-rafting guide in the movie.
Other cameos expected are from Chevy Chase and Berverly D'Angelo, who starred in the 80's version as the Griswold parents who set out on a trip to the Walley World theme park that does not go quite as planned.
Chris Bender and David Dobkin will be the reboot's Producer with Marc Fischer as executive producer.
