Jason Derulo, at last, answers the public about his break-up with Jordin Sparks.
"Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up with Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment," the singer stated to ABC news on Monday.
After three years of harmonious relationship, the Talk Dirty singer, Jason Derulo and the American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks confirmed their separation.
According to the 25 year old guy, marriage pressure is the reason why his relationship with Sparks ended.
"What happened ... in a nutshell, there was a lot of tension in the relationship for a lot of different reasons. Every relationship has ups and downs. There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop having more good times than bad times, it's time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy," he shared in an interview with the radio and television host, Ryan Seacrest.
Jason also admitted that he and his former girlfriend are currently not in good terms. "I wouldn't say good terms," he added. "I'll be lying if I said that, but it's not a bad situation. There's no bad blood. We didn't end off on a weird way or a negative way. It's not like we're hitting each other up, like, 'Hey, what are you doing today?'"
On the other hand, Jordin seems to be positive. "I'm good, actually," she said on a recent appearance on Today. "The funny is that I read this book the other day. Actually, it was yesterday. It said when something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad is happening, just say 'plot twist' and move on."
There are also times were many had thought that Jason would propose to Jordin, such as releasing a song titled, Marry Me, which featured Jordin in the song's music video.
Meanwhile, Derulo has now released a statement in a radio interview regarding unwanted gossips about their three-year romance.
He says, "I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part."
"Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives," he confirmed.
