The recent launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note LTE currently made it the best-selling device to date by Xiaomi. Lei Jun, CEO of the smartphone manufacturing company, revealed during a recently concluded event, that it has successfully sold a total of 18 million Redmi devices, with the Redmi Note having a record of over 3.5 million sold units.
The device has been marketed as mid-range, but one review said that it doesn't feel like it at all. The new Redmi Note LTE package resembles Xiaomi Mi4, but since it is positioned as a budget-friendly phone, there aren't too many extra accessories inside the brown, nearly unmarked box with only Mi logo at the top right corner.
One user said the phone feels solid, even though it's built with will all plastic. However, it definitely needs a case since it can be slippery when held for a long period of time. It features a large 5.5-inch screen with three capacitive buttons below the screen. The quality of the said screen is better than expected by Redmi users, considering it is only 720ph at 5.5 inches. When used outdoors, brightness of the screen is excellent and touch screen is responsive which users find incredible. It seems that Xiaomi uses an excellent kind of vibration motor in this product as one owner of the device swore 'typing was literally the best experience I've ever had on a smartphone."
The Redmi Note LTE has the same MIUI 5 camera, though not quite as full featured as the one found on the Mi4. The photos from the 13MP sensor are not bad at all either. Avid users of the device expect that longevity of the battery will be superior considering the combination of the battery size, processor, and screen resolution. For the price of a little more than $200, the new Redmi Note LTE gives its counterparts a run for their money.
