Lindsay Lohan is trying to get back up on her feet. As she continues to fight her struggle with drugs and alcohol, the infamous child star from the Parent Trap is starring in her new play in London where prominent talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Oscar’s Best Supporting Actress for ’12 Years A Slave’ Lupita Nyongo were present in the audience.
Oprah took a snap shot of her and Lindsay then posted it on her Instagram account saying, "@LindsayLohan backstage at her new play in London. #SpeedthePlow," while the 28-year old actress added, "So thrilled to have @Oprah and @Lupita_Nyongo in the audience tonight. I'm a lucky girl! XXo #Myfairygodmother."
With the talkshow host’s presence, it only proves that she still has faith in a woman who opened her life up to cameras on the Oprah Winfrey Network docu-series, Lindsay. She also admitted that there were a few bumps she had to go through but still, Oprah stayed positive about Lohan.
The popular production, David Mamet's play Speed-the-Plow alongside Richard Schiff, is a satirical dissection of the American movie business and features three different acts.
E! News reports Lohan has been starring in the play since September 24 and the initial reviews aren't bad at all.
“On the first night of previews, a work-in-progress feel is to be expected,” one review said. “Lohan remained charming throughout.”
In an interview with The Mirror, "Every night feels more natural and comfortable," she said, “Everyone has been really great. I love the stage manager...they've all been kind, gracious and comforting.” As the show continues the star remains focused on maintaining a healthy and busy lifestyle.
