NBC had confirmed that Taylor Swift will join the cast of The Voice for current season seven
The country-turned-pop singer will be the contestants' mentor for the singing competition.
Swift will be the key adviser for the current season of The Voice, NBC confirmed on Friday.
Rumors had been circulating about the "Shake It Off" hit singer's involvement on the show for months, until the network finally confirmed.
Swift will serve as the sole mentor for all of the artists on each of the four teams.
Taylor will advise each of the performers during the upcoming Knockout Rounds that will air on Oct. 27 and 28 and Nov. 3, on vocal technique, stage presence and the importance of tailoring songs to fit their personalities and strengths.
The Knockout Round pits singers from the same team against each other in sudden-death solo performances. It was removed last season and replaced with a second slew of battles.
Last season's mentor is Coldplay's Chris Martin.
Swift will be joining an already star-studded season. Along with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, the upcoming run will feature guest mentors Stevie Nicks with Adam Levine, Gavin Rossdale with wife Stefani, Little Big Town with Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys with Williams.
The four singers will share their expertise in the rehearsal room during the battle rounds.
Taylor Swift will be releasing a full-length album titled "1987" which will hit the stores on October 27.
Stefani and Williams replaced last season's judges Shakira and Usher.
Christina Aguilera and Ceelo Green were two of the original coaches with Levine and Shelton.
