According to TV Guide, A Full House reunion could be in the works. The sit-com, which aired through years 1987-1995 on ABC, is still getting ratings in its re-runs on Nick at Nite.
John Stamos, who has an ownership stake in the show, is apparently leading the project. It is also reported that original executive producer Bob Boyett and creator Jeff Franklin are on board with Stamos.
Other cast members reported to be involved ; Candice Cameron Bure who played the eldest daughter D.J. Tanner, Jodie Sweetin aka Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barber as Kimmy. Bob Saget (narrator for HIMYM) and Dave Coulier (Joey) are reported to be involved in some way.
Twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who took turns in playing the role of Michelle Tanner, are not yet confirmed joining the project. The Olsen twins, now retired from acting, got their start starring in Full House before developing into careers in films, then later on owning a fashion line. It is also reported that the twins were not present at the show's 25th anniversary.
Lori Loughlin, who played Jesse's wife Becky, could join the rest of the cast in the future despite having her doubts in reviving the show:
"If it were a really good script and a great project but sometimes I think that it's better off to leave those TV shows as they were and not do reunion shows"
The idea of a Full House reunion would make sense after the success of another 1990's sit-com revival. Disney recently released the highly anticipated Girl Meets World, a story that revolves around the daughter of the two main characters in Boy Meets World. The show has been gaining success in ratings and is reported to already have a second season on its way.
