Actor Hugh Jackman is reaching out to everyone in his campaign to fight against testicular cancer through a viral Twitter message.

The hashtag says #FeelingNuts, which aims to encourage men to do self-exams regularly in an effort to discover testicular cancer at its earliest stages.

Jackman posted a video in Instagram where he is checking himself while working out in a gym. Along with the video, he posted "#feelingnuts in slomo! Raising awareness for testicular cancer. #youknowwhoyouare."

The hunky actor also posted an image of himself together with photographer Nigel Barker and two other friends who were all checking themselves.

Following the widespread campaign on ALS through the famous ice bucket challenge, Jackman nominated Ricky Gervais, Neil Patrick Harris, and Michael Strahan to perform exams, ice bucket challenge-style.

Gervais responded automatically and posted a photo giving the finger at cancer. He wrote, "I accept the @RealHughJackman #feelingnuts challenge for testicular cancer," The British comedian also added, "I nominate @WilliamShatner."

Hugh Jackman, 45, is an Australian actor and producer. He is best known for his performance as Wolverine in the X-Men movie series.

Last November 2013, the actor announced that he had basal-cell carcinoma removed from his nose.

Testicular cancer is a deadly disease. In the United States, a range of 7,500 and 8,000 diagnoses of testicular cancer are reported yearly. Over the span of a man's lifetime, his risk of getting testicular cancer is roughly 1 in 200 (0.4%). This type of cancer is the most common, especially in males aged 20 to 39 years of age.

According to Cancer.org, it claimed the lives of roughly 300 men in 2014. If detected early and the cancer has not spread outside the testicle, the five year survival rate is 99%. Testicular cancer has one of the highest rates of cure compared to all other cancers.
