In 2016, fans both old and young will have the chance to see a "Power Ranger" movie reboot. The creator of the "Power Ranger" television series, Saban, has partnered itself with Lionsgate to put the "Power Rangers" on the big screen for the first time.
The Executive Producer Robert Orci released an official "Power Ranger" movie reboot synopsis. The film is basically a reinvention of the television series - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the synopsis describes the characters as a, "group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers must harness those powers as a team to save the world." Mr. Orci has also been the executive producer of several big budgeted blockbuster films such as "Transformers" and "Star Trek."
The "Power Ranger" series first started in 1993 and fans have been watching them season after season. Since then every season of this series presents new actors and themes. But basically the Power Rangers series are focused on a group of young people battling evil forces and giant monsters with their special skills and weapons and their own giant robots.
Since this is a movie that will be shown in the big screen, fans should expect more realistic storyline, more believable characters, better action scenes and realistic weaponry, technology and mechanical robots. Unlike in the television series, The Power Ranger Movie Reboot has a much bigger budget and talented actors, to ensure the success of this first and upcoming film.
The final line up of the casts who will assume various "Power Ranger" characters has not yet been officially confirmed although a Breathecast post has mentioned the names of those who will possiblly appear in the "Power Ranger" Movie Reboot. Both Liam Hemsworth and Taylor Lautner are said to be competing for the top ranger spots. MTV News posted report that Chloe Moretz is now confirmed to play the role Kimberly Hart otherwise known as the Pink Ranger.
The Power Ranger Movie Reboot will hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
