Kawasaki will debut the Ninja H2R, their most powerful motorcycle yet, in the American International Motorcycle Expo in October 16-19 at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Other 2015 lineup from Kawasaki will be unveiled in the AIM expo, but the Ninja H2R takes the center stage.
"The Ninja H2 is just one piece of the collective effort we are bringing to the show in October and it's the first of many exciting announcements we plan to make regarding our first year of involvement at AIMExpo," said Kevin Allen, Kawasaki's PR and Brand Experience manager.
The Japan-based company posted in their website previews of Ninja H2R with 11 teaser videos showcasing the motorcycle's performance, aerodynamics, engine and so much more.
Kawasaki employed not just the motorcycle division to create the 2015 Ninja H2R but also the aerospace, gas turbine, and other divisions that make up the Kawasaki Heavy Industries organization. Ninja H2R pays homage to its predecessor and brings together the strengths of each division.
The Ninja generates 300 horspower from a supercharged engine, which according to Kawasaki's website is only made possible through custom components that were "created to near-impossible tolerances by the Machinery division." The Aerospace division was responsible for the aerodynamic masterpiece's carbon-fiber bodywork.
However, the H2R model isn't street legal, but Kawasaki promised to introduce a model aptly named Ninja H2, which is a toned-down version that can be used in the streets.
Kawasaki hasn't revealed the cost of their latest model, but there are speculations that it can cost much more than their the brand's top motorcycle ZX-14R ABS superbike sold at $15,899. Ninja H2R has double the power of the superbike.
Ninja H2R is named after the original Mach IV H2 from 1972 that boasted raw power and that influenced the modern sport bike. The original Ninja epitomized Kawasaki's image of performance powerhouse.
