Speculations about the Jason Bourne 5 release date has continued to circle news online, as well as storyline involving Matt Damon versus Jeremy Renner's characters.
"The Bourne" franchise follows the story of Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon) in his struggle to regain his memory as a CIA assassin. Based on the book of the same name written by Robert Ludlum, the first three films focused on Jason Bourne, while the last shifted the spotlight towards character Aaron Cross played by Jeremy Renner.
With the last installment gathering the lowest among the four in reviews, fans have been speculating whether this drop may be attributed to the shifting of central characters, as in Bourne versus Cross (Damon versus Renner, respectively).
Although no official statement has been released yet save for the Jason Bourne 5 release date, reports online have shown that indeed, the focal character will most likely be shifted back to Bourne and away from Cross.
On this Jason Bourne 5 (release date) issue, Jeremy Renner shares with HuffingtonPost what he thinks of Bourne returning to the franchise. He shares that though there may be a huge possibility of Bourne to return, this does not mean that Cross will be totally out the picture. He said, "I think it really opens up the world and keeps Bourne's character alive. I think Cross' character is already going to continue to be active. I think it will take creative to bring them together, which is what I think is ultimately the plan."
Apart from Damon returning to upon the Jason Bourne 5 release date, English film director and screenwriter Paul Greengrass is set to steer production to its proper course. He has directed "The Bourne Supremacy" (2004), "The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)", as well as the Academy Award Winning "Captain Phillips" in 2013.
Jason "Bourne 5" release date has been set for a July 15, 2016 release date.
