‘Taken 3’ Movie Release Date Revealed And Trailer Unleashed: Liam Neeson Doesn’t Lose A Family Member This Time, But Gets Framed For Murder

| By

After much speculation about a third installment, a trailer of Liam Neeson in "Taken 3" is unleashed online, with audiences waiting on the release date.

The box office franchise "Taken" has been among the many Liam Neeson films that has continued to gather fans all over the world. Directed by Pierre Morel and

The first "Taken" was released in 2008 receiving mixed reviews, usually in comparison to the "Bourne" and "Bond" franchise. A review from Variety goes, "kick-ass, pedal-to-the-metal actioner...that wisely doesn't give the viewer any time to ponder the string of unlikely coincidences...the film has the forward, devil-may-care momentum of Bond film on steroids."

Four years after, "Taken 2" was released in 2012 directed by Olivier Megaton. Receiving mixed reviews as well, but gathered almost $400million in the box office. Los Angeles Times raves about the sequel saying, "At a beefy 6-foot-4, Liam Neeson certainly looks physically imposing, but it was the notion of casting someone who can actually act in an action hero role that was the counter-intuitive concept that made both films-Taken 2 is more a remake than a sequel-so successful."

Apart from Liam Neeson, the "Taken" franchise stars Maggie Grace, Famke Jansse, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, D.B. Sweeny, and Luke Grimes. The plot revolves around ex-special agent Bryan Mills (Neeson) and the abduction of his daughter Kim Mills (Grace, "Taken") and then her re-abduction together with her mother, Lennie Mills (Janssen) for the sequel, "Taken 2".

Earlier reports of a third installment of "Taken" involved Neeson in apparent opposition to "Taken 3" movie (release date), as he refuses to have another family member taken. However, writers have seemed to manage creating "Taken 3" movie, without having anybody getting abducted as its predecessors.

Upon the "Taken 3" movie release date, fans will see how Bryan Mills is able to defend himself and his family while being the hunted and not the hunter this time, as he is being framed for the murder of his own wife, Lennie.

"Taken 3" movie release date is scheduled for January 8, 2015 in theaters worldwide.
