Two teenagers destroyed an iPhone on display just to prove that it can bend. Danny and Kylie had even videoed their illegal experiment and upload it on YouTube.
They seem unaware of the illegality of their actions, as they did not hide their face, while filming the whole event. It seems that the two teenagers destroyed an iPhone probably in the hope of getting their few minutes of YouTube fame.
As soon as they entered the Apple store, they asked one of the staff if the iPhone on display will bend. The staff said no but he apparently didn't know what the two had in mind and when they were sure no one was looking, the two teenagers destroyed an iPhone on display by bending it several times.
After bending the iPhone, the two went out of the store in a hurry and Kyle told his audience, "It's not a rumor, it's true...If we got caught, we'd end up paying for the phone, so we had to get out of there quite quick."
Before ending their video Kylie asked the online audience to click the like button on YouTube. The video clearly shows the boys were laughing and seem to be having fun while they conducted their bending experiment, with an iPhone that they clearly do not own.
In the same video, one of the teenagers has acknowledged that what they were doing is clearly illegal and one of them was even boasting that he does not care.
The two teenagers who destroyed an iPhone on display later issued an apology on their YouTube channel. The two denied that they destroyed more than one iPhone. They offered to pay the Apple Company for the iPhone that they bent in case they get contacted by them. They also said that they will be forced to sell their personal items to pay for the damaged iPhone. So far Apple or any of their legal representatives have yet to made contact with the two teenagers.
