The youngest Jenner seems to have a newfound career in singing, and "the family is really supportive", according to new Kylie Jenner news.
A source told Radar Online that 17-year-old Jenner "can really, really sing".
The source added that the reality show celebrity "is also starting to write her own stuff and is a pretty good songwriter!"
Seemingly taking a different path, the source also claimed that "Kylie is excited and nervous about showing off her talents. She has really been pouring herself into her music and has had several vocal lessons now."
It was earlier reported that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star "is in training right now with vocal coach and producer, Tim Carter," and "is now working on her first single!
"She is telling everyone that she knows she is going to be the next Katy Perry," according to another source, adding that Kylie seems to found her calling in life, and that is "to be a singer."
Tim Carter, according to Radar Online, has worked with Jay-Z, Beyonce, Sofia Richie, and Willow Smith.
Smith, said the source, gives Jenner some pointers, and "everyone is seriously impressed".
While Kendall is focused on modeling, the family is said to be very supportive of Kylie's taking of different craft.
"She realized that she can't compete with Kendall when it comes to modeling," the source added.
"So she has chosen to turn to music. The whole family is really supportive of the decision, and Tim has already been to Kris' house to start the lessons!" the source concluded.
Last week on her Instagram, Jenner posted writer R. M. Drake's quote following her parents' separation: "I discovered that our disconnect was never because of the insecurities we felt, but rather the emptiness we created when we failed to make sense of ourselves."
