Hilary Duff New Album Will Be More Personal But “Very Positive!” Will It Be Worth The 7 Years Of Waiting?

| By

Hilary Duff's new album was supposed to be released this fall, but it was delayed for a "few more months," the 'Chasing The Sun' singer announced on Twitter early this month.

"Guys hate to break this news but the album won't be out in October... You will have to wait a few more months. Love all the excitement tho," Duff told her more than four million followers.

The yet-to-be-named album though seems to promise a lot of things.

For one, this is Duff's first album after a seven-year hiatus focusing on being a wife and a mom. Although she announced her split with husband Mike Comrie early this year, the couple seemed to be in a good relationship and was even seen being affectionate with each other during music video shoots.

Despite the long wait, though, her fans (who go way back to her Lizzie Maguire days) are still supporting the singer.

Hollywood Life previously reported that fans of her Disney Channel show, 'Lizzie Maguire,' grew up with her, remaining loyal until now.

To give something to her loyal following, Duff released two music videos prior to the release of her new album.

'Chasing The Sun,' produced by Toby Gad, Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves, was released in August and has a catchy, summer beat that goes well with its bright and quirky music video.

The video for 'All About You,' on the other hand is sexier and a bit more mature. The song sounds more country and even the choreography is line-dance inspired.

It may be a surprise for some but the 27-year-old told Fox News that the inclusion of country beats was actually deliberate.

"The new record is definitely pop, I would want someone to think 'Oh, that's Hilary,'" she told Fox411 during the iHeartRadio music festival in Los Angeles. "It has a little bit of folk threaded through it which is cool for me because I'm a Texas girl."

Aside from the inclusion of her roots, Hilary Duff's new album will also feature at least one cool collaboration. She reportedly had record a song with 'Lego House' hitmaker Ed Sheeran at midnight, according to MTV.

Meanwhile, she has also promised fans that her new songs will be upbeat and "very positive." She wrote lyrics that are reflective of her own life and experiences, so the record will be much more personal to her than her past songs.

After seven years, Hilary Duff's new album will finally hit record stores. How well do you think will it do?
