Yubi Nobiiri, 'Stylus Like' Giant Silicone Thumb, Could This Be the Solution To Large Screen Smartphones? Another Chindōgu From The Japanese

| By

Large screen smartphones had been the new trend today. The iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Huawei Ascend Mate P7 are one of the few smartphones that joined the 'phablet' line of phones with relatively large screen.

According to reviews, phablets, particularly the iPhone 6 Plus, is too large for small hands.

But phablet users don't need to fret. The Japanese got you covered!

Japan's Thanko Inc. had created a giant silicone thumb a "stylus like", called Yubi Nobiiru, accessory for small hands; that falls off to a chindōgu( ingenious but awkward solutions to problem that are barely worth solving).

The giant silicone thumb gives you an extra 15mm finger that allows you to reach every corner of your phone.

The Yubi Noburii was launched this year; but today gained its popularity as the iPhone 6 Plus was launched.

A spokesperson for Thanko said to WSJ: "This wasn't specifically designed for the new iPhone but for overall smartphones because screen sizes are getting larger and difficult to handle."

Thanko explains on its website that the thumbstall is perfect to use on trains, since smartphone users only have one hand available with the other holding on to a strap. Its colorless prototype "looked like a zombie finger" according to the company, but the finalized product uses a flesh-colored silicone for a natural look, reported by WSJ.

'The Yubi Nobiiru seems to belong firmly in the idiosyncratic genre of Japanese gadgets known as chindōgu - objects that seem like ingenious solutions to everyday problems, but that actually create more difficulties or are simply too embarrassing to use.'

Yubi Noburii is retailed at more than a thousand yen approximately $8, though its not available in the US.

Though sounds a "jokey" the Japanese had made another chindogu weird but functional accessory.
