Los Angeles Clippers Owner Steve Ballmer, Former Microsoft CEO, To Ban Players From Using Apple Products, Promises Fans Better Mobile Experience At Staples Center

| By

Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer was surprisingly chosen as the replacement for Donald Sterling who was stripped of ownership following an audio scandal containing his racist remarks against African-American players. To the tune of at least $2 billion dollars, the 58-year old businessmen took over the reins in the Clippers franchise and with his money and younger age, fans are hoping that he can change the culture in the team, on and off the court.

Ballmer has started his work in the office early and his works are beyond what is necessary in football. Aside from shedding finances for the team's players and everything, Ballmer is now also targeting the gadgets of his players. The Los Angeles Clippers owner might be planning to ban players from using Apple products, the number one rival of his company.

"Most of the Clippers are on Windows, some of the players and coaches are not," Ballmer said.

"And Doc kind of knows that's a project. It's one of the first things he said to me: 'We are probably going to get rid of these iPads, aren't we?' And I said, 'Yeah, we probably are.' But I promised we would do it during the off season."

People know how important loyalty is for the new Los Angeles Clippers owner. In fact, he still wishes good fortune for Microsoft wherein he worked as its chief from 2000 to 2014. But of course he knows that his work is more than just convincing his new colleagues to use Microsoft products and Windows.

"I think people understand we are a different kind of team," Ballmer told Reuters on Wednesday, sitting on the Clippers practice court.

"We are born in a funny way, and the guys have all had to live through something not only on the court but off the court together that requires a deeper kind of commitment."
