Jason Derulo And Jordin Sparks Breakup: 'Talk Dirty' Singer Confirms The Separation And Says 'It's Not A Bad Situation'; The Split Was Mutual, Says Sources

| By

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks, one of the strongest couples in the entertainment industry, have parted ways, reports said.

According to the sources of E! News, the "breakup was mutual, but they still care very deeply for each other and will remain in each other lives as friends."

A follow-up report said the "Talk Dirty" singer had confirmed the split, and the two will remain friends.

"Yeah, everything is cool, man. It's not a bad situation. You know, it's not one of those kinda things," Derulo told KDWB-FM's Big D in a interview.

Just a month ago at the MTV Video Music Awards, the duo were affectionate on the red carpet, wearing matching white ensembles, People reported.

An eyewitness to the event even said the couple "were loving each other's company as they sat in the front row and danced together."

Recently, according to Mail Online, Derulo without Sparks went to his friend Richie Akiva's birthday party in Los Angeles.

Adding to the Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks' breakup speculations were tweets from the American Idol winner on September 14, saying: "Football is the only thing making me smile today. I don't feel like doing anything except laying down & zoning out. #oneofthosedays."

Derulo also admitted last month that he and Sparks have problems, but their "relationship is a positive one".

"Of course we have our problems just like anybody else. But our relationship is a positive one and that's good for people to see in today's entertainment industry," the "Wiggle" singer said.

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks started to be linked to each other three years ago, and went out on public eye as a couple in 2012, according to E! News.

Last year at the MTV Video Music Awards, Derulo proudly said his song "Marry Me" was inspired by his then girlfriend Sparks.

"It is about Jordin, actually. And it's talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life," Derulo told E! News, adding: "you can't fake anything because true love is true love, and that's the basis of our relationship."
