The fire on the Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer talks got bigger over the past two months when the Real Madrid star said that there's a possibility that he might return to the Old Trafford which he served for almost six years. The flame made an even larger spark when the former president of the Spanish club, Ramon Calderon, said that the Portuguese football superstar is already 'fed-up' with club's decision to sell its top players.
"When he came with [Arjen] Robben, he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team. [Gonzalo] Higuaín was sold and he didn't like that. Last year he thought it was a mistake to let [Mesut] Özil leave and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and (Angel) di María this summer,” Calderon said.
However, in a sudden twist, it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer will not happen anytime soon as CR7 himself said that he is happy where he is right now.
“It’s nothing important, what’s important is Madrid. On a personal level, things are going well and I want to help this shirt. I don’t see a need to talk about things outside the club,” Ronaldo said as reported by Alex Harris of the Daily Star.
“It’s all speculation, speaking about my future… My future is Madrid. I’m happy. The season is going well and I’m not talking about my future, it doesn’t make sense.”
The Red Devils fans are not giving up though as they already made a crazy stunt to make the Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United transfer happen. A fan group named United Reel shed out at least £3,000 for a plane banner stunt asking Ronaldo to come home. The group said that it is essential that the two-time Ballon d'Or winner will feel how much Red Devils fans want him back.
“We have active supporters on every continent of the world and we are all united by our love for Cristiano both as a football player and as a person. We won’t stop until we bring Ronaldo home,” founder Oli Grandidge says in a statement.
