Heroes Reborn: Zachary Quinto Says No To Sylar! Will Jack Coleman Be The Only One Reprising His Old Role?

| By

After previously telling hopeful fans that he's interested in the 'Heroes' reboot, Zachary Quinto has finally decided on whether he will bring Sylar to life again for 'Heroes Reborn' or not

His portrayal as the villainous Sylar shot him to fame in 2006.

Back in July, he looked favourably on the 13-episode remake that creator Tim Kring announced would air sometime next year. When asked if he would come back to the NBC show, however, the actor admitted that it would be unlikely.

"I've been talking to Tim and I'm really excited that they're doing that show," the actor previously told The Wrap in an interview. "I don't really see the room for me to be involved at this point, just based on my schedule. But, I'm not sure if it will work out just based on availability alone."

According to CBS News, the 37-year-old actor finally gave his decision to the possible recasting.

"I'm not going to do it," he reportedly said earlier this month.

Timing was supposedly one of the main factors for his decision to not appear as Sylar in 'Heroes Reborn.'

Quinto is actually quite busy with a new series called 'The Chair.' In the unscripted show, he will be mentoring two amateur filmmakers to create the best output. The Starz series airs every Saturday at 11 PM.

Another reason, according to the actor, is the artistic conflict that portraying Sylar for the second time after a long time will have on his craft.

The 'Star Trek' actor insists that taking on the same character one more wouldn't be right for him creatively. He said that he is "really interested in cultivating other experiences" for himself.

Meanwhile, only Jack Coleman, who portrays Noah Bennet a.k.a. Horn-Rimmed Glasses, has been the only original cast member confirmed to appear in 'Heroes Reborn.' The rest (Milo Ventigmilia, Ali Larter, and Hayden Panettiere) have announced that they won't be joining 'Heroes Reborn.'

With Sylar gone, it looks like HRG will be facing a different kind of evil in the 13-episode remake.

Nevertheless, former 'Heroes' executive producer Brian Fuller wished for the new mini-series to recreate 'Heroes' glory.
