Fallon Fox next fight is yet to be determined, the date, the opponent, the venue, and all. However, there's another battle that she's busy with. It's not on the octagon but on social media. The world's first transgender MMA fighter finally broke her silence on Ronda Rousey's comments about 'bone structure.' And it's pretty intense.
In her Facebook page, Fox called Rousey ignorant over the recent comments the latter made.
“First, I really wish Ronda would stop with the ridiculous bone structure arguments. That was so last year. Second, she should tell her boss to put me in that octagon over there at UFC. I'm quite sure that there are quite a few female MMA fighters who have guts to fight another skilled woman without peeing their panties and saying "No, I wouldn't fight her!". I think they may be a little more mentally tough and say, "I'll fight a trans woman, just like I'll fight a lesbian woman or a black woman." Etc. They may throw all kinds of backwards bogus bone density or bone structure arguments in it to possibly save face if they loose - because they sense that people are ignorant on bones within sport. But, at least some of them are the real deal in the way of fighting.”
Rousy, the current UFC Women's Bantamweight champion, said that she won't fight the 38-year old fighter because the latter has an advantage on 'bone structure.'
“It’s a case by case scenario thing,” Rousey said of her transgendered challenger. “I’ve tried to research it a lot. I feel like if you go through puberty as a man it’s not something you can reverse ... There’s no undo button on that.”
UFC president Dana White is on Rousey's side.
“Bone structure is different, hands are bigger, jaw is bigger, everything is bigger,” White said. “I don’t believe in it. I don’t think someone who used to be a man and became a woman should be able to fight a woman.”
If Fallon Fox next fight will be against Rousey, this would be exciting. However, with all the shots being fired, the chances of seeing this fight are getting smaller.
