Nokia Will Be Gone Soon! Lumia Support Moved To Microsoft.com

| By

Nokia.com UK website is now redirected to Microsoft.com.

Microsof just started its transition of Lumia phones by moving its support to Microsoft.com

When navigating to Nokia.com UK website it displays a message, "Step inside our new home. Nokia devices and services have moved to a new website."

Nokia.com is still live that shows some basic information about Lumia phones, though some links are now redirected to Microsoft.com; and according to The A Register "the actual Nokia logo is conspicuously absent."

Nokia UK also posted on Twitter about the news on Friday.

"We've moved to a new home! Everything you need to know about #Lumia is here now: microsoft.com/en-gb/mobile/ "

Microsoft is also rumored that it will no longer use the Nokia branding by November 2015.

According to lincense agreement Microsoft Mobile has the right to sell mobile phones under the Nokia brand name as part of a 10-year licensing agreement, as long as those phones are based on the S30 and S40 series, which comprises "dumbphones" and Lumia phones. Reports also claim that Satya Nadella, " wants customers to think of Windows as a single, unified platform for PCs, tablets, and phones - even if it isn't, really. So before the dust settles, we may well expect a future flagship device from the software giant to be called something like the "Microsoft Lumia XXX with Windows."

Although a lot of rumors that Nokia is slowly disappearing. Nokia's Barry French pointed out that Nokia is "very much alive" and Nokia still exists as a separate company without its phones business it focus on mapping and telecom infrastructure.

"We may not be the same Nokia of several years ago, but we are here, we are strong, and our brand is very much still alive," explained French.

Nokia UK website is the only affected of this change for now; and rumored to follow in other regions.
