James Blunt wedding with Sofia Wellesley has finally taken place in a private ceremony earlier this month, reports said.
According to Mail Online, the "You're Beautiful" singer and the British socialite got married at a London registry office on September 5.
After their union, the newlyweds celebrated with their family and friends in a lavish ceremony in a Spanish island of Majorca, where they also reportedly enjoying holiday together for the past few days.
A source close to Blunt and Wellesley told Mail Online that the two "got married the morning after Elton's party," referencing to Elton John's annual End Of Summer party in Windsor.
The source added that the bride joked about being in the shadow of intoxication on the day of her wedding. '"Sofia joked to friends that she was almost too hungover to get married," the source said of the James Blunt wedding.
A source told E! News that the Spanish-inspired celebration happened between noon and 2 p.m. local time. The sources added that the party took place on the Marsana estate, which is a property owned by Corinne Vaes, Sofia's mother.
The 40-year-old singer-songwriter began dating Wellesley, 30, earlier of 2012 after they were introduced by James's sister Daisy. In December 2013, the two got engaged.
According to Mail Online, Wellesley is the granddaughter of the Duke of Wellington and is a Edinburgh University graduate of law. She now works as a legal consultant for a law firm in London.
Blunt had previously confessed how supportive Wellesley with his career as musician.
"What I will say is that I'm very happy at the moment with Sofia. It takes a strong person to be able to deal with somebody working in music. It's hard when you're with somebody and you become embroiled in something just because you were seen standing next to someone else," he said.
"It takes a tough person to deal with that and I'm lucky to have her," said the "Bonfire Heart" singer.
Blunt has dated Czech model Petra Nemcova and singer-actress Lindsay Lohan.
