The Voice Season 7: Reality Talent-Search Show Is Back With New Mentors Pharrell Williams And Gwen Stefani

| By

The seventh season of the American talent reality show, The Voice, will be aired on September 22, 2014. Once again, we will be seeing some changes in the coaching panel.

In this new season, there will be a couple of changes in the panel of coaches. Veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will still be joining the team and new player Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will be replacing Shakira and Usher.

Per Gwen Stefani, it was weird to have his husband as an advisor for her team since they have never collaborated with each other at work. Pharrell Williams was described by Blake as someone who seems quiet but is in fact quite the opposite.

For the team advisors, Team Adam will have Stevie Nicks, Husband and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale for Team Gwen, Little Big Town for Team Blake and for Team Pharrell, the lovely Alicia Keys. Taylor Swift will also be present in advising the teams on the second round of the battle. Blind auditions were taped last June 7 and 8.

The first season of The Voice was broadcasted last April 26, 2011 with coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. The series is part of the The Voice Franchise which is based on a similar format of competition in The Voice of Holland. The winner will receive a cash prize of $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Republic Records. The next couple of seasons of The Voice had the same coaches but in the fourth season, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera were replaced by Usher and Shakira. In the fifth season, Aguilera and Green went back but Green announced that it will be his final season to coach. In the sixth season, Shakira and Usher again replaced Aguilera and Green.

Carson Daly will be returning as host for seven consecutive seasons.
