Amazon is expanding its lineup of gadgets. The internet retail giant is set to launch the latest versions of their gadgets next month. The new devices are designed to be faster and lighter than the previous versions.
But it isn't with the technology where the consumers would see the biggest changes in the new devices. The biggest change that will most likely thrill them is with the pricing of the new devices. Amazon is introducing a 6-inch HD tablet that would sell for only $99. The main thing about this new Fire tablet is that it would be ad-supported. It would be smaller but also a lot cheaper than the smallest Galaxy tablet from Samsung.
Amazon has showed off its new devices in a media briefing and all of those are now available for pre-ordering.
The company has also made changes with the operating system that's running its devices. They have included the ASAP feature on their Fire devices. That feature picks videos that the user might like and preloads those on the device. That would allow it to stream a lot more faster.
Amazon is also introducing the Fire HD Kids Edition, which has a lower price and comes with a two-year warranty which would allow the user to get a replacement for the device if it gets broken without any question asked. That means if a child accidentally breaks the tablet they can get a new one within the warranty period.
For those looking for better performing devices, they can also get the Fire HDX 8.9 which is the most expensive tablet that Amazon makes. The latest version of the device that has a screen with 339-pixels-per-inch. The device also automatically adjusts the color of the screen so that it can look more like the pages of a real book. The company is also introducing several accessories.
