Sony Computer Entertainment will not allow a bigger gap between the PlayStation 4/PS4 launching and the Playstation 4 Slim release date and sacrifice quality.
The original PlayStation console was launched in 1994 that hit the high mark of selling 100 millions units in the first decade since its release. The succeeding PlayStation consoles fared remarkably, selling no less than millions of units by its release date. The latest PlayStation 4 is known to have sold 1 million units on its first 24 hours of launching alone, making sales history.
PlayStation 4/PS4. It features a state-of-the-art accelerated processing unit AMD x86-64, with a GPU of up to 1.843 teraflops according to NBCNews.com. Dubbed by its maker as "the world's most powerful console," its direct competitor, the Xbox One slightly loses the battle.
Early this year, speculation of the possible PlayStation 4 Slim release date has been circling online. With gamers excited to take into account Sony's constant follow-up of a slightly leaner version of its most recent hardware, fans are almost sure that there's a PlayStation 4 Slim in the works.
According to Wololo, "The slimline revision of PlayStation products historically launches in September or October. I'm assuming the date is chosen in the way the matches as good as possible the shopping frenzy of Black Friday, which happens in November."
However, according to Product Reviews, the likelihood that the PlayStation 4 Slim release date will closely follow its predecessor is very low. Developers will continue to gather feedback of the latest PlayStation 4 and incorporate these changes into the slim version.
Matt Tran from Product Reviews shares, "It would allow Sony to iron out the issues that players have reported so far from the PS4. There has also been a big call for Sony to add PS3 backward compatibility, a feature which the PS 4 sorely lacks but will be offered through streaming on PlayStation Now later this year."
PlayStation 4 Slim release date is yet to be revealed, however, speculations of a 2015 or 2016 release date remains plausible.
