GoPro Hero4 Release Date Moved to March 2015: Updated Specs, Price And New Features; Upcoming Action Camera Can Capture Videos With A 4K Resolution

| By

With the newest GoPro Hero4 release date set initially by October of this year, reports of delay have surfaced and now the release date is officially a few months later, by March 2015.

According to sources online, the previous reports stating the October 2014 GoPro Hero4 release date seems improbable as more developments are yet to be incorporated in the camera.

Stifel analyst Jim Duffy explains GoPro Hero4 release date move to be a positive attempt as launching GoPro Hero4 release date on October will definitely have an effect on the stock.

He also shares the forecast that GoPro Hero4 release date might not fare as well as GoPro Hero3+. He shares the possible retail price of GoPro Hero4 close to $500, compared with the $400 of GoPro Hero3+.

According to updates, GoPro is attempting to reach out to other consumers apart from its regular athletes and sports professionals customer base. The price and the abilities of the hands-free camera is unlikely a fan favorite for your regular camera user.

This is another feat to be conquered by the creators of GoPro Hero4 upon its release date.

The updated reports on GoPro Hero4 release date include specs that remained quite the same as the previous speculations. GoPro Hero4 will be built with a 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor chip for accuracy and quality of both videos and photos. It will be able to capture videos with a 4K resolution, with not more than a rate of 30 frames per second.

It will come in a 13-megapixel photosensor, and an improved lens to take photos even in the dark.

Physical qualities of Hero 4 will come in no more than 100g in weight, but will still be able to withstand a considerable amount of impact - land, air or seas. This waterproof series also includes GoPro Hero4 to be submerged up to 60 meters of water.

With GoPro Hero4 release date set for March 2015, updated price and specs speculations seem to fit the delay.
