With the first season premiering in 2013, "Hemlock Grove" is a story about the bizarre occurrences in a fictional town in Pennsylvania known as Hemlock Grove. Characters Roman Godfrey and Peter Rumancek work together in solving the town's brutal murders.
Although "Hemlock Grove" has received nominations in the 65th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards as Outstanding Main Title Theme Music and Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, the television series continues to receive mixed reviews, even mostly negative.
According to People Weekly, a review from Tom Gliatto explains that "the acting is good, especially Bill Skarsgard and Landon Liboiron...I like the show's languid, dreamlike beauty, but horror fans may be less patient."
The main cast includes Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard, Landon Liboiron, Madeleine Mitchell, Freya Tingley, Tiio Horn, Joel de la Fuente, and Dougray Scott.
