Angel di Maria Manchester United: Argentinean Midfielder Sends Red Devils Fan In Frenzy; Louis Van Gaal Thinks There's More From His New Player

| By

Do you still doubt the Angel di Maria-Manchester United partnership? After last night's win against Queens Park Rangers, you might have completely turned around your negative thoughts about this deal. The Argentinean midfielder lived up to his price tag after stirring Manchester United to its first victory of the 2014-2015 English Premier League season.

The former Real Madrid star, who moved to Old Trafford for £59.7 million, scored the first goal in that 4-0 victory and went on to set-up Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney, and Juan Mata for their own goal. With this first great game from di Maria, the Twitter world went crazy, especially with the fact that Red Devils fans haven't seen daylight in their first three matches.

“May appear a fluke by Di Maria, but with such precision there is always a chance of it going straight in,” says pundit Gary Lineker.

“In my opinion, yes RT @BR0leary: Is Angel di Maria already #MUFC's best player?” and fan with twitter handle @stighefootball said.

“Di María, Falcao, Rooney/Mata, RvP. I mean come on, that's the attack of dreams,” another fan said excitedly.

“Di María's outside of the foot pass to van Persie today reminded me of LOST. So, so good, but deserved a better finish.”

While fans think di Maria is the guy they are looking for to return to the top of the standings, manager Louis van Gaal thinks there's more to their new superstar.

"When you prepare three goals and make the first goal by yourself then you cannot play bad but he had a lot of unnecessary losses [of possession] so we can do better, even Angel Di Maria," Van Gaal told a post-match news conference.

"Can you do it better when you prepare three goals and make one? It is nearly impossible but I am analysing the game and I see things we can improve as a team."

Van Gaal is shut down fears that di Maria is injured as the new member of team limped off when he was substituted by Ander Januzaj.

"Di Maria is all right. Di Maria has never played 90 minutes until now in his pre-season and season," Van Gaal added. "He has cramp and normally you have to play 90 minutes without cramp but that is also a positive signal. He gave everything."
