Taylor Swift's Got Cats on Her Head: Her Beaus, BFFs, 1989 Album, Shake It Off Topping the Charts, and Katy Perry Feud

| By

Referring to his brother's bewilderment in seeing a man walking with cat on his head, Taylor Swift believes a sight like that should be photographed because "that guy is asking for it--he's got a cat on his head." Rollingstone writer Josh Eells was smart to pick that line with all the issues hounding the pop star lately -- her reinvention, the 1989 album, Shake It Off now topping the charts, and the controversial Bad Blood song that points to Katy Perry. All these are cats in Taylor Swift's head at the moment.

The question is, were these issues planned to happen? Did she ask for it since the spotlight will definitely be on her?

The quotable quote of Taylor Swift using a cat as bait for attention (she is fond of cats!) is quite deep and cerebral to escape Josh Eell's senses. His background research on Taylor spiced up with the revelations spewed straight from Taylor's mouth led him to say that being famous is like walking around with a cat on one's head.

Much has been said about Taylor's penchant for writing about her former high profile beaus. That's one cat she wants out for the meantime. Taylor is fond of having famous celebrity friends as company: Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Lena Dunham, Emma Stone, et al, even Katy Perry. If there's a new gal hitting the charts, getting an award, or in trending news, Taylor will make a way to befriend the person. That means, her cats should be famous. One of the former 'cats', Katy Perry, is now a straight enemy. So, two famous pop stars in word war, that's a nice cat! Controversies sustain interest to a celebrity.

"I can have issues with it," she says. "But at the end of the day, I can't be ungrateful, because I chose this. But sometimes - sometimes - you don't want to have a camera pointed at you. Sometimes it would be nice if someone just said, 'Hey, I think it's really cool that you have that cat on your head. I think that's interesting.'"

The last part of the Rollingstone interview reveals more of Taylor Swift. When she wants to feel her popularity in a place like Central Park, all she has to do is walk to that park with her security entourage in tow. She was hounded, cameras didn't stop clicking, with the interested crowd getting thick and unruly. Pleased with what she saw, she followed the advice of her security to go back home. Back in the car, she let the writer hear of a Kendrick Lamar song that goes like this: 'All my life I want money and power, Respect my mind or die from lead shower, I pray my dick get big as the Eiffel Tower, So I can fuck the world for 72 hours, Goddamn, I feel amazing...Damn, I'm in the Matrix . . .. The goody-sweet popstar Taylor Swift said with a smile, "I know every word."
