Sam Worthington news show that he and girlfriend Lara Bingle face $10M lawsuit after run-in with paparazzi early this year in New York.
The endless and bitter battle between paparazzi and celebrities continues on the recent lawsuit being fired towards the couple Sam Worthington and Lara Bingle by photographer Sheng Li.
The 38-year-old Australian actor is known for his work as Jake Sully in the 2009 "Avatar", "Clash of the Titans" in 2010 and it's sequel in 2012. In October 2013, the Sam Worthington finally confirmed his relationship with model Lara Bingle, reports The Herald Sun.
The scuffle between the couple and the New York paparazzi occurred early this year in February. Sam Worthington news hit online reports as he was arrested for assault of Sheng Li. His defense was the paparazzo kicked his girlfriend Bingle in the shin, and was only retaliating as a result of the kicking.
According to Yahoo news during that time as both parties were taken into a police station, Sheng Li was initially charged for assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. While Worthington was released on a desk appearance ticket.
A few days after, Sam Worthington news online revealed that the actor was ordered to stay away from Sheng Li and was to face the same charges, Sydney Morning Herald reports.
It wasn't until a few months after in May that Sheng Li accused Bingle to have started the fight, and was merely defending himself. During this time, the case against the couple was dismissed.
Recently, the New York pap claimed he suffered from injuries to his thumb and wrist, experienced a torn shoulder and bruises on his face as the couple attacked him in February.
Sheng Li filed a complaint with his lawyer Mark Heller, with the latter explaining, "Worthington only got an assault charge dismissed, he didn't get an attempted robbery charge dismissed. They could technically charge him with attempted robbery for trying to steal this guy's camera."
Sam Worthington news on his response to these allegations have not been released as of date.
