Chris Brown's performance was interrupted by a bottle-throwing brawl at the 'VIP Room' for a New York Fashion Week after party.
According to the NY Post there was one injury. “A man hit by a shard of glass at the VIP Club at 409 W. 13th St. was in stable condition with an eye injury at Beth Israel Hospital”.
The 25-year old singer stood firm with his statement that he was not involved in the brawl even voicing it out on his Twitter account. "There was no brawl involving me or anyone else from my camp last night at VIP Room. The devil is in full effect at all times. God is the way."
TMZ released information gathered from their sources from the law enforcement saying that they were not sure if Brown was involved, but a witness says that he was not.
In an article from Hollywood Life, this is the club's statement:
At approximately 2:45am, a male patron, who has yet to be identified, attempted to pour a beer over another person. It’s our understanding that a bottle of beer shattered on a column and a shard of glass caused a minor laceration to another patron’s eye. The guest with the injury left the venue without notifying club management or security. Security promptly removed the patron who had been holding the beer bottle from the club. No arrests were made.Chris Brown was completely oblivious to the incident and had nothing to do with what transpired nor was he or any of his group affected in any way. VIP ROOM is cooperating with the police and their investigation.”
It was mentioned in a Daily Mail article that two years ago, Brown was directly involved in a similar brawl with Drake and his crew at W.i.P. Nightclub in NYC thought to be over popstar Rihanna, and just last month music mogul Suge Knight was shot at a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown at an LA nightclub.
