Katy Perry seems to have listed what she likes her next boyfriend to be. And she does not want him to be intimidated by her!
In the October issue of Harper's Bazaar, she confessed about her past relationships and how she learned from them.
Apparently, what she learned the most is how to love herself first before any other man.
"What I've learned is that if you don't have the foundation of self-love first, you really have nowhere to pull love from to give it away," Katy told the magazine. "I had to learn about taking care of myself before I could take care of others.
"I want to mommy everyone, I want to take care of them. I want to save them, and I forget myself in the meantime," she explained.
"I learned that through therapy. A lot of times I've ended up with people who have been intimidated by me, unfortunately," Katy lamented.
She added: "They say they're not but it comes out in the long run, they're threatened or there's resentment because they don't know how to hand it."
While she knows there are people intimidated by her, she also acknowledged that she has the tendency of being bossy.
"Sometimes it's tough being a 'boss lady', I'm looking for someone who's inspired and could be inspiring with me," she told the magazine.
The "One That Got Away" singer has been linked to a number of men, like Johnny Lewis, Travie McCoy, Josh Groban, Baptiste Giabiconi, and Diplo, who may have helped her realize what she wants for her future boyfriend.
The songwriter reportedly had split up with John Mayer earlier this year. She was also married to Russell Brand by which their marriage lasted for 14 months, with Brand filing for divorce in 2011.
Katy will be celebrating her 30th birthday in October, and this is what she has to say: "As I'm heading into my 30s I have less time for bulls**t. I look for the same characteristics: a sense of humour - someone who makes me laugh off the charts - someone who is sensitive, someone who loves and understands music, and who is really smart."
