NBA Free Agents 2014 Rumors indicated that Eric Bledsoe and Ray Allen are still undecided on what they intend to do for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
Bledsoe, who is one of the big-name free agents left on the market, is still reportedly waiting for lucrative offers to come until training camp before making his decision.
According to an NBA free agents 2014 rumors report on Basketball Insiders, Bledsoe, who averaged 17.7 points to go along with 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game last season is still considering signing a one-year qualifying offer from the Phoenix Suns.
Should he decide to take that route, the 24-year-old point guard, who is considered as one of the most promising guards in the league, will spend next season in Phoenix before becoming an unrestricted free agent next summer.
"The word from Bledsoe's side is that he is likely signing the Qualifying Offer and playing out his contract to get to unrestricted free agency next summer," Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders said.
Bledsoe, who turned down a four-year deal worth $48 million earlier in the offseason, is not in a rush to sign the qualifying offer, though, because he is still hoping to get a maximum five-year, $85 million deal this summer.
"However, there is no rush in doing that. As soon as he signs he is basically locked into Phoenix and that would remove any chance of a trade out of Phoenix," Kyler wrote.
Meanwhile, Allen also remained undecided about his future with sources indicating that the 39-year-old point guard is still considering retirement. NBA free agents 2014 rumors update suggested that Allen is not expected to make his decision soon.
Allen, who averaged 18.9 points to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 18 seasons, is reportedly leaning towards signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but Kyler pointed out that such reports are untrue.
"Sources close to the process say he still remains non-committed to playing in the upcoming season and until he decides he wants to play pegging him to one team or another seems unrealistic," Kyler wrote.
Aside from the Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls are also interested in signing Allen, who is the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made with 2,973 shots made from the distance.
