Manchester United Transfer News: Radamel Falcao Committed To Staying At Old Trafford; Daley Blind Introduced

| By

Multiple Manchester United transfer news indicated that the club formally introduced new signings Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind on Thursday at Old Trafford.

Falcao, who was acquired by Manchester United via one-year loan deal with AS Monaco, said in an interview that he is thrilled to be a part of the Red Devils, saying that he wants to stay at Old Trafford for the rest of his career if given the chance.

"I hope to stay many years at Manchester United and make history at this club," Falcao said via an ESPN FC Manchester United transfer news. "When I was in Porto and Atletico Madrid, I always want to improve and I dream of playing in a team like this and now I want to stay here for many years."

The 28-year-old striker is coming off a major surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, which forced him to miss a big number of games for AS Monaco last season.

Falcao, who had his best years as a pro with Atletico Madrid from 2011 to 2013, was also forced to skip Colombia's campaign in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

When asked about his condition and his confidence coming off a major knee injury, Falcao said that he has fully recovered from the setback, and he expressed readiness to contribute to the Red Devils soon.

"I feel well, I started to play two months ago with Monaco and I've improved in the last month a lot," Falcao said in a Manchester United transfer news on the club's official website. "I have scored goals and that's important to a striker. I am confident with my physical form and I am comfortable with my knee."

Aside from Falcao, new signing Daley Blind also expressed excitement over his move from Ajax to Manchester United, saying that he is excited to play under Louis Van Gaal again after their successful partnership with the Netherlands national team.

"The manager gave me a lot of trust during the World Cup and the qualification games," Blind said of Van Gaal. "I'm happy to work again with the coach. I've learned a lot from him and hope I learn more and get better with every game."
